The Epiphany parades are the culmination of the programme of activities organised during the Christmas season. In Ibiza, Epiphany parades are organised in all five municipalities, but in addition, many villages and even neighbourhoods have their own parades. So that you don’t miss out on any of them, today we are going to help you with this small guide to Epiphany parades in Ibiza this 2020.
We tell you about the best parades in Ibiza:
Ibiza
The main Three Wise Men parade is organised in Ibiza town on Sunday 5th January 2020. The Three Wise Men arrive at the port of Ibiza at 6.30 p.m. after travelling through the main streets of the city.
In addition, the Es Clot neighbourhood is organising its Royal Cavalcade on Monday the 6th of January 2020 at 11 am. From 10 am there will be hot chocolate for the children, and there will also be Christmas concerts and distribution of gifts and sweets in the Parque de la Paz.
San Antonio
The Three Wise Men will arrive in Puerto de San Antonio on Sunday 5th January 2020 at 18:30 hours. The Royal Cavalcade will travel through the main streets of the town, will make a visit and offertory at the church and then gifts will be given to the children of the municipality in the municipal marquee on the Paseo de las Fuentes.
San Jose
On Sunday 5th January 2020 at 8 p.m. the Royal Cavalcades arrive with the delivery of gifts in the villages of Sant Jordi (in the square, or in case of bad weather in the CEIP Sant Jordi), San José (in the municipal marquee) and San Agustín (municipal marquee).
In Cala de Bou it is the same day, but at 6 pm. The village of Es Cubells celebrates its Cavalcade on Monday 6th January 2020 at 18:30, from the square to the sports centre, where the presents will be handed out.
Santa Eularia
The Three Kings of Orient arrive at the Plaza de España in Santa Eulalia on Sunday 5 January 2020 at 6pm. You can bring gifts to deliver to the Teatro España on the same day from 15:00 to 17:00. At 7 p.m. they approach the village of Santa Gertrudis, and at 8 p.m. they will arrive in San Carlos.
The following day, on Monday 6th January 2020, there is a Gran Cabalgata Popular in Puig d’en Valls, which starts at 10:30 am from Can Negre and arrives in the village at 11:30 am. The gifts will be handed out in the Plaza de la Iglesia.
At 12:30 p.m. the Three Wise Men arrive in the village of Jesús to continue handing out presents.
San Juan
In the northernmost municipality of the island there are three Epiphany parades. In San Juan the parade arrives on Sunday 5th January 2020 at 17:30 at the Plaza de España. Their Majesties will move at 20:00 to the municipal marquee in the village square of San Miguel, where there will be Christmas activities and presents. In the small village of San Lorenzo there will also be a parade on Monday 6 January 2020 at 18:00 in the village square.
