The Mountain bike tour \u201cVuelta Cicloturista a Ibiza Campagnolo\u201d<\/strong> is one of the most important sporting events on the island; a truly unforgettable cycling experience. It is a tour divided into in stages,<\/strong> designed for the enjoyment of road cycling. It combines mountain biking and some short competition sections <\/strong>and includes routes where you can experience spectacular landscapes of great natural beauty. About five hundred cyclists from all over Spain turn up on the island for the event, and professionals and even some cycling legends usually take part.<\/p>\n

Stages of the Vuelta Cicloturista<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Stage 1:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In 2019 the 17th edition of the tour <\/strong>is going to be held from Friday 11, to Sunday October 13. On Friday, October 11, a short 4’4 km tour around San Antonio Bay will serve as a warmup.<\/p>\n

Start:\u00a0<\/strong>Passeig de ses fonts, Sant Antoni<\/p>\n

Finish:\u00a0<\/strong>Puerto deportivo de Sant Antoni<\/p>\n

Distance:\u00a0<\/strong>4.40km<\/p>\n

Cumulative elevation:\u00a0<\/strong>50 m<\/p>\n

Stage 2:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The \u201cVuelta\u201d itself kicks off with a first stage<\/strong> on the afternoon of Saturday, October 12, 2019, leaving from the Paseo de Ses Fonts in the middle of San Antonio<\/strong>. It is a circular route of 39\u20195 km with a total ascent of 800m. During the stage you will pass through towns such as San Agust\u00edn or San Jos\u00e9<\/strong> and along beaches such as Cala Vadella or Cala Mol\u00ed.<\/strong> In this stage there is one food stop in the hills above Cala Vadella at km 24, and a timed section of 4’6 km with a cumulative elevation of 256m.<\/p>\n

Finish:\u00a0<\/strong>Puerto deportivo de Sant Antoni<\/p>\n

Distance:\u00a0<\/strong>39.50 km<\/p>\n

Stage 3:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The second stage on Sunday October 13<\/strong> starts from Ibiza town and has a distance of 87\u20192 km and a cumulative elevation of 1,330m<\/strong>. During the route you will pass through towns such as Es Canar, San Juan and San Miguel<\/strong>. In this second stage there are three planned food stops, at km 27, at km 51\u20197 and at km 66\u20197. There are also two timed race sections, one of 4’5 km in the hills above Cala San Vicente, with a cumulative elevation of 293m and the other of 1\u20195 km in the Port of San Miguel, with an ascent of 130m.<\/p>\n

During the three days of the \u201cVuelta Cicloturista a Ibiza\u201d several parallel activities<\/strong> are also scheduled, designed for both the athletes and the friends and families who come to Ibiza during the weekend, so all can enjoy their stay to the full and get to know the island as much as possible. What is more if you do not have a bicycle or you feel that taking it to Ibiza is too much trouble, you can always choose from a wide range of different models of rental bikes with \u00a0\u00a0varied features and prices.<\/p>\n

How to sign up to the Vuelta Cicloturista<\/strong><\/h2>\n

From September the registration<\/strong> fee is 100 euros for federated cyclists and 110 for non-federated cyclists<\/p>\n
