Renting a boat on Ibiza is an excellent way to make the most of its over 200 km of coastline. But please keep in mind that it is <strong>prohibited to cast anchor in the Meadows of posidonia<\/strong> <strong>oceanica.<\/strong> This plant which is endemic to the Pitiusas islands is the reason the Waters of Ibiza and Formentera are so wonderfully clear.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How about discovering Ibiza by boat?<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Getting to know the small islands around the Pitiusas<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>You are not permitted to disembark on the emblematic islands of <strong>Es Vedra and Es Vedranell <\/strong>(on the west coast) or on Tagomago, a privately-owned island. However, if you are in a boat or even a kayak you can get close and circle them while enjoying amazing scenery and wonderful views. You can also get close to other islands off the coast like <strong>sa Conillera, s\u2019Espartar, ses Margalides, Espalmador, la Isla de los Ahorcados. <\/strong>Or of course the breath-taking <strong>Formentera<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Coves you can get to from the sea<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Much of Ibiza\u2019s coast is very steep with coves which are hard to get to from land. If you have a rental boat, you can have these amazingly beautiful spots almost to yourself. By boat you can discover the secret coves of Ibiza like <strong>Es Portixol, Cala d\u2019Albarca,<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Sa Pedrera de Cala d\u2019Hort,\u00a0Cala Llentrisca.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Boat trips<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>There are plenty of companies who organise wonderful <strong>trips along the coast of Ibiza and Formentera<\/strong> and who have thought of everything, so you don\u2019t need to. In some you can sign up along with other people while in others you can reserve for a set number of people, always with an expert Captain at the Helm.
