Kayaking is an experience you will just love.\u00a0 The 200 km + coastline is surrounded by clear waters which let you can see the ocean floor, added to the fact that there are no strong currents nor waves make this sport is one of the island\u2019s joys. Kayaking allows you to enjoy the coast of Ibiza from a different vantage point,<\/strong> at sea level, meaning that you can approach silently to watch birds and fish or to discover the multitude of natural caves which dot the landscape.<\/p>\n

Another advantage of kayaking<\/strong> is that it does not demand a high level of fitness, and it is simple to pick up enough basic skills to enjoy an easy excursion. The difficulty of this sport really depends on the state of the sea which is why we always recommend that you listen to and take the advice of professionals especially on your first trips out.<\/p>\n

You must remember to take sun cream, sunglasses and sunhat<\/strong>, shoes which can get wet and clothes which protect you from the sun and from grazes as well as of course water and snacks.<\/p>\n

\u00a0What Kayak routes are there on Ibiza?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Level 1<\/strong>: These are easy and offer various options, like paddling from Figueretas to Es Soto and taking in the amazing view of Dalt Vila from the sea. You can also go from Cala Graci\u00f3 to Calo des Moro, a perfect route to enjoy the sunset over the island of Sa Conillera or go from Es Portixol to the lighthouse of Portinatx, in the north of the island.<\/p>\n

Level 2<\/strong>: These are somewhat more demanding routes and include for example one which leaves from Cala Carb\u00f3 and circumnavigates the famous islands of Es Vedr\u00e1 and Es Vedranell, or another which goes around S\u2019Illa des Bosc and Sa Conillera departing from the beautiful beach Cala Conta.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Level 3<\/strong>: These are more complex. The routes from Sa Caleta to Playa den Bossa and from Es Portitxol in Portinatx to the Port of San Miguel are both over 15 kilometres long. And for the most adventurous, Ibiza Travel also suggests two routes of two days which are both a great way of getting to discover a large stretch of Ibiza\u2019s coastline.<\/p>\n

There are many companies on the island offering kayak excursions to different spots on the island or which give you the option of renting a canoe for an hour or so to paddle nearby.<\/p>\n
