Cala Salada

March 21, 2023

In the deep forest of pine trees there’s a small, protected sandy cove that is called Cala Salada. In this bay there is actually two small beaches: the beach of Cala Salada itself and neighbouring Cala Saladita. This cove has lots of fishermens houses on left side of the beach and just at the entrance on the rightthere are steps to get on rocky promontory. The path will lead you over the top of the cliffs to the beach of Cala Saladita.

Cala Salada gets very busy in summer. The shallow and clear water is perfect for swimming. Jump of the cliffs, or if you want to enoy a bit more of the nature around this bay, little paths will lead you into the hills of this unspoiled area.

For the adventurers, nearby is another interesting thing to explore. Just before you reach the entrance to the bay, turn right and drive up the track. Park the car and continue on foot up the cliffs to the caves at Ses Fontanelles.

Be aware, it’s a long wolk and the caves are protected by iron bars, but the views from the cliffs are incredible. If you still have some energy left, you can climb the steps downwards to the sea. A perfect please to bathe in complete privacy.
