Ibiza is perfect for practising a number of sports, but racquet sports like padel and tennis have become particularly popular on the island in recent years. There are tons of great options available, so it is relatively easy to find places to play tennis or padel. In this post, we bring you some of Ibiza’s best tennis and padel clubs.
Ibiza Club de Campo
This is one of the island’s most emblematic and complete clubs, and you will find it in Sant Jordi, on the San José road, close to Ibiza town. It has a tennis and padel school for children and adults, and features 5 glass and 2 wall padel courts, as well as 5 clay tennis courts and 1 fast tennis court. Additionally, the club has recently added the ‘Ibiza Indoor Padel’ area featuring 6 indoor padel courts that allow for playing on rainy or windy days. It also has a swimming pool, a café, a futsal court and extensive gardened areas.
Viva Tennis Ibiza
A pleasant, family-run club located in the outskirts of San Antonio that features 3 synthetic grass and 2 clay courts with lighting. The club organises classes for adults and children of all levels in different languages, as well as a tournament for members. They also have a swimming pool, a terrace, ping-pong, a café, gardens and an area for watching the sports.
Club Fiestaland Sport Center
The tournaments and regular classes they organise during the winter season and the fact that they are one of the clubs with the most courts on Ibiza – which makes it easier to find a court available – all contribute towards making it one of the favourites with the locals. It has 4 wall and 8 glass courts.
Bfit Ibiza Sports Club
It is a modern sports club with state-of-the-art facilities and an extremely well-equipped gym. It boasts 4 synthetic glass padel courts and 1 individual court – the only one on the island. They are all panoramic and modern, and tournaments and classes are organised all year round.
Es Viver sports complex
A municipal sports centre located in Ibiza town featuring a swimming pool, a basketball court and other facilities. They have 4 glass padel courts and tend to be cheaper on account of being municipality facilities. A good thing is that they organise a number of tournaments; however, they do not accept telephone reservations, so these must be made in person.
Club de Pádel El Cebo
It is to be found at the beginning of Cala de Bou, in San Antonio, and it is the largest in town. The club features 6 modern glass padel courts and a café.
Punt Groc
This is Santa Eulalia’s main sports centre, and features 3 open-air glass padel courts with lighting.
Tenis Club Ibiza
The good thing about the club is that its central location means it will be very convenient if you are staying in Ibiza town. It has a tennis school that has been operating since 1951.
You may also find tennis or padel courts in hotels such as Sirenis, which is between Figueretas and Playa d’en Bossa and allows for reserving a court or using the spa without being a guest. The majority of municipal sports facilities also have them, including the ones in Can Coix, San Antonio, Santa Gertrudis, San Miguel, Can Mises (Ibiza) and others.
